Terming that education mafia are ruling the roast in Uttar Pradesh, state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party said here on Wednesday that buckling under pressure the education department is grappling to finalise examination centres.

“Confusion prevails over short listing of examination centres. Because of political interference to please education mafia the education department is dilly-dallying with the process to prepare the final list,” BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak told reporters here on Wednesday.

He said that as per government’s roaster the examination centres should have been finalized by November 12 and by November 19 Secretary, Secondary education should have sent this list to respective districts but government on Tuesday extended this time limit by five days.

“Questions are now being asked as why the government has failed to complete its work within the allotted time,” he said. “The only plausible answer could be that education mafia had forced the department to scuttle move so that some black listed schools can be accommodated as centres,” he said.

Pathak said that examination schedule has been released. Because of the paucity of teachers course of many subjects are yet to be completed. In this scenario the schools wants to have good results and for this the management is willing to compromise with education mafia, he said.
