In view of Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj this month, the Uttar Pradesh government has preponed the preliminary written examination for direct recruitment in UP Higher Judicial Services-2018.
Earlier scheduled to be held on February 3, the examination will now be held on January 13 due to Kumbh Mela being held at Prayagraj.
An official statement issued in Lucknow on Friday said that the decision to prepone the examination was taken on the direction of Allahabad High Court, which passed an order to this effect on November 15 last year.
