On the 75th anniversary of Independence Day, the Tricolour to be hoisted in every household will be manufactured and distributed in the state by UP Handloom Corporation.
Sources said the Yogi Adityanath cabinet has approved a proposal to this effect. The cost will be borne by the Panchayati Raj and Urban Development departments.
On the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the aim is to ensure that the Tricolor is hoisted in every house. It has been decided to celebrate Independence Week across the country from August 11 to 15. The Tricolor will be hosited at every house on August 13, 14 and 15. During these three days, the flag will be hoisted on behalf of the state government on residential, non-residential buildings, government and non-government offices and buildings of the institutions. Under the campaign, the spirit of patriotism will be instilled among the people.
