Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that his government is working without any favour or bias towards development of state so that benefits of the government schemes could reach the beneficiaries like poor, farmers and women.

“This government is working in a transparent manner without any bias. We are committed to provide basic facilities to the people and are working in this direction earnestly,” Yogi said while participating in a Rs kisan sammelan’ held at Deoria on Wednesday.

He said that agenda of this government is to bring smiles on the faces of farmers. The first decision of our government was to waive of crop loans of 86 lakh farmers. There is a burden of Rs 36,000 crore on state exchequer still we accepted that and did not impose any tax. Besides, government purchased 37 lakh metric ton of wheat and payment has been made in a transparent manner, he said.

“Similarly, cane payment of over Rs 25 lakh crore has been made in last six months. This government ensured that many sugar mills which were on the verge of closure started operation. Three sugar mills in western UP and two in eastern UP – namely in Mundarwan and Pipraich - have been revived. The BJP government has made ration card for 35 lakh poor and distribution of ration has been ensured through e-system in PDS centers all across the state,” Yogi said.

He said sweaters, books and shoes have been given to students of the primary schools free of cost. Over 1.53 crore students of the state-run primary schools stand benefitted by this scheme. Earlier there was bias in distribution of government funds but in BJP regime the distribution has been carried out in a transparent manner, he said.

During that function he also distributed certificates and cheques to the beneficiaries of PM Gram Awas Yoajan. Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, labour Minister Swami Prasad Maurya and Fisheries minister Jai Prakash Nishad also spoke on this occasion.
