Inspired by local talent Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has decided to set up innovation fund under which state will provide finance to students to carry out innovation that may help the society. What inspired Yadav to make this announcement was an innovation of Himanshu Garg, a student from Agra, who developed a technology where a motorcycle will start only if the driver is wearing helmet.

The 26-year-old student claimed that the motorcycle will not start if the driver has consumed liquor.  “The device can be charged with a solar panel and also from the mobile phone chargers. But the price of the helmet is slightly more that the ordinary helmets available in the market,” he told reporters. While displaying the device Himanshu said that earlier he has been felicitated by then railway minister Mamta Banerjee for innovating a technology which would stop trains at if both inadvertently came on same track. Himanshu was honored by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav who announced a prize of Rs 5 lakhs.
