The recent move of UP government has opened promotional avenues for thousands of constable drivers in the UP Police department.
As per an official communiqué released on Wednesday, constable drivers earlier used to retire from services without any promotion as there was no other post for them. However, the government recently opened promotional avenues for them by sanctioning 1098 posts of head constable (driver).
The communiqué further said that as per the government decision, the UP Police Recruitment and Promotional Board has promoted 1072 constable drivers to the rank of head constable (driver) in lucknow on Wednesday.
