Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati accused the Yogi Adityanath government of failing to control crime and criminals and alleged that the state was on the verge of going towards `Jungle Raj’. She asked her Party legislators to strongly raise the law and order issue along with government’s unpreparedness to forward relief in wake of flood threats particularly in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

“The killing of five Brahmins in Rae Bareli shows that this BJP government has failed to deliver on law and order front with crime and the criminals having a field day,” asserted Mayawati while attacking the Yogi Adityanath government. She said that after caste clash in Saharanpur, the manner in which five Brahmins were killed in Unchchar clearly pointed that state is once again going towards `Jungle Raj’. She directed national general secretary and senior Brahmin leader of the Party, Satish Chandra Mishra to meet the family members of the deceased and convey that the Party would support them in their fight for justice. Mayawati made above remarks during a meeting with her Party legislators on the eve of the Budget session of the state legislature here on Monday. According to an official communiqué release by the Party here on Monday evening, BSP supremo directed the legislators to raise the Rae Bareli killing in a big way in both the Houses which would met for Budget Session here on Tuesday along with other matters related to law and order and connected to the people.

The BSP president also directed to rake up the issue of floods in the state and alleged that the Centre as well as the UP government has failed to provide any relief to the flood-affected people in eastern UP. She said that her Party would nail down the Yogi government on the issue as government failed to make any preparedness to avert flood despite of Met Department forecast of good monsoon this season.

Meanwhile Congress legislator Party is also ready with all ammunition to counter Yogi’s government on law and order front as well as for failing to come up with any promises made during election time. “From Agra to Kushinagar, farmers have committed suicide due to loan burden but the state government has failed to come

out with a clear policy of loan waiver,” Congress legislature Party leader Ajay Pratap lallu told media persons while confirming that they will ask the Government to immediately fulfill their promise of loan waivers for the farmers. “We will also raise the issue of deteriorating law and order,” he said while highlighting that how five Brahmins were killed but the state government kept sleeping for more then a week and wake up only after the media high-lighted the issue. Besides farmers and law & order issue, Congress and BSP would also highlight the objections raised by traders against the GST regime, noting the tax on some of the items will be fatal for small and medium enterprises as well as for the public at large.
