Uttar Pradesh has set a record by providing more than 75 lakh tap water connections to houses under the Namami Gange scheme. The announcement to this effect was made by Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh here on Tuesday.

As many as 75 officials, including engineers, were felicitated for their outstanding work. In his address, Agriculture Production Commissioner Manoj Kumar Singh said officials should ensure that tap connections reach inside the houses so that people can claim ownership.
