Strange it may sound but UP Congress on Wednesday provided distorted facts to officials at Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport and Special Protection Group engaged for Congress chief Rahul Gandhi’s security to ensure a meeting of local leaders with Rahul.
Surprisingly, the wrongs facts about UPCC office bearers were provided even when state unit chief Raj Babbar was present at the airport to welcome Rahul.
Sources confirmed that the list provided by UPCC to officials concerned to issue passes and allow entry to welcome Rahul Gandhi on his arrival, mentioned all former spokespersons and other staff of Raj Babbar as 'spokespersons'. In only one case, that of SP Darbari, who was removed from Treasurer's post, the UPCC mentioned him as former Treasurer.
After Babbar disbanded media committee, organising committee, administration and finance Committtee, no one remained spokesman of the party. Only four leaders were entrusted by Babbar to take up necessary matters till committees were reconstituted.
