Uttar Pradesh Congress president, Nirmal Khatri, who kept himself away from the Party’s state headquarter all through the Parliament elections, has now announced to camp for two days here on coming Wednesday and Thursday. He is likely to hold review meetings with the senior leaders, district presidents as well all the candidates who lost in this Parliament elections.

``Our state president, Nirmal Khatri will remain here at UPCC office for two days on Wednesday and Thursday’, confirmed spokesman of UPCC, Dwijendra Tripathi, here on Monday afternoon. Without giving any further programme, Tripathi, however said that the President would remain available to answer of all kind of media query.

Sources said that Khatri has fixed the programme to discuss reasons for defeat and also to later get himself prepared for revamping the entire state unit after disbanding it. During his recent visit on occasion of death anniversary of late prime minister, Rajeev Gandhi on last Wednesday, Khatri, also gave his mind in this direction and disclosed before media that he would held discussions with the party leaders as well with the candidates on the reasons which lead to Party’s dismal performance.

It may be mentioned here that Khatri, remained away from UPCC office during the entire Parliament elections. Besides, not holding a single press conference, UPCC chief also not addressed any election rally during the poll period outside his Parliament constituency, Faizabad. Interestingly, while excepting his failure for the defeat, Khatri, who neither attended any press conference or public rally, also said that they lost as they failed to project the achievements of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) before the public.
