UP can win first position in terms of loot, rape and murders : Amit Shah

Hitting out at Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav BJP national president Amit Shah said that law and order in the state is so bad that Uttar Pradesh can win number one position in terms of loot, rape and murders.

“In last few days number of attacks on traders has increased. In lucknow a few days back a trader was shot dead and on Sunday a jewellery shop was looted. One credit you people should give to Akhilesh Yadav and that is he has made Uttar Pradesh as number one state in the country in terms of murder, loot and crime,” Shah said while addressing an election rally in Sonebhadra on Monday.

He said Samajwadi Party has used a tag line saying Kaam bolta hai, but the fact is it is not the kaam (work) but kaarnama (misdeeds) which speak.

Realising that Sonebhadra has suffered because of illegal mining he said that this area has minted money. But where that money has goneIJ. It has gone into the pockets of people who mattered in the Samajwadi Party Government. There is one ministers who is on the run because he is facing rape charges and that tainted minister was heading mining department.

“Now, you can understand where this money has gone and why Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav started his campaign from the constituency of that tainted minister,” he said.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had suggested that a portion of the money earned through mining should be used for the development of the said district. “Have you got that benefit,” he asked the crowd.

Urging voters to back BJP, Shah said Uttar Pradesh’s development has been hit by the “continuous misrule” of SP and BSP.

“On one hand you have Afzal Ansari and Mukhtar Ansari (of BSP), while on the other hand you have Azam Khan and Atiq Ahmed. It is a classic example of “ek taraf kuan,

doosri taraf khai,” he said.

He said the BJP alone could help the state and its people get rid of the “goondaraj” of SP and BSP. He also said that all youngsters would be given laptops “irrespective of their

religion”.
