As a pre-Diwali gift, the Yogi Adityanath government is likely to announce payment of bonus to nearly a million non-gazetted state employees next week. The employees would get a bonus for 30 days which will be around Rs 7000.
Official sources said inlucknow that each employee is entitled to get Rs 6,908 as bonus, of which they would be paid Rs 1727 in cash before Diwali and the rest Rs 5,181 would be deposited in their GPF account. The payment of bonus to the employees would entail an additional burden of Rs 970 crores on the state exchequer.
Employees of aided educational institutions, local bodies, panchayats and others too would be eligible for bonus.
