As BJP is gearing up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Saharanpur on May 26 – the day Union government completes its two years in office - at least 45 Union ministers and senior leaders will swarm the state in the next week apprising people of the achievements of the government.
BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that during the campaign 'Gram Uday se Bharat Uday tak' the Union ministers would visit different places between May 27 and 31. “The ministers will meet people and tell them about the achievements of the Union government,” Pathak said.
As per schedule every district will be visited by two Union ministers and a senior functionary. Union Finance minister Arun Jaitley and national vice-president Prabhat Jha will come to lucknow probably on May 27 while Union Health minister JP Nadda will go to Varanasi – the PM's constituency. Union HRD minister Venkaih Naidu will visit Allahabad while Surface Transport minister Nitin Gadkari will interact with people in Kanpur.
Pathak said that all the MPs have been asked to organise 'jan chaupals' in all the blocks of their constituency besides attend programmes in six other states of the country other than their home state.
Meanwhile, all eyes are on PM's Saharanpur rally which seems to be important in view of BJP's `Mission UP’. The rally would be an informal launch of poll campaign in the state by the party.
Party leaders of western UP particularly from Meerut, Bijnore, Moradabad, Bareilly, Ghaziabad, Sambhal, Amroha, hapur have been asked to motivate people to attend this rally.
BJP's General Secretary (Organisation) Sunil Bansal is in-charge of the PM’s rally. last year, on the first anniversary of the NDA government, the PM had addressed a public rally at the birthplace of Bharatiya Jan Sangh founder Deen Dayal Upadhyaya at a village in Mathura.
