The Anti-Terrorists Squad (ATS) claimed to have arrested Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Tehrikh-e-Taliban Pakistan-linked terrorist Muhammad Nadeem from Saharanpur on Friday.
According to the report, Nadeem was in direct contact with Pakistan-based terrorist outfits JeM and TTP. He was given the task by JeM to kill Nupur Sharma, the ATS said.
The ATS team recovered a mobile phone which had a PDF file titled ‘Explosive Course Fadae Force’. Chat and voice messages of his links with militants from Pakistan and Afghanistan were also found.
During interrogation, Nadeem revealed he was an expert in making ‘virtual contact numbers’ and so far had made over 30 such numbers for the militants based in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The ATS is further grilling Nadeem to extract his other local and overseas contracts.
