Uddhav may postpone visit to Ayodhya

Published on:

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, who is engaged in a tough political battle to become the first Sena chief minister in Maharashtra, is likely to postpone his proposed Ayodhya visit on November 24.
Sources in Shiv Sena said in Lucknow on Monday that since Thackeray was busy in government formation in Maharashtra, his proposed Ayodhya visit had been deferred.
After the Supreme Court verdict on the Ayodhya issue on November 9, Thackeray had announced to offer prayers at the Ram Lalla temple on November 24.
The Shiv Sena chief had termed the day the apex court pronounced its verdict on the Ayodhya dispute as historic for the country. He had also announced to meet Bharatiya Janata Party leader Lal Krishna Advani to thank him for his dedication for the Ram temple movement.
However, the relationship between the BJP and Shiv Sena turned sour over government formation in Maharashtra and they parted ways.
