Two separate incidents led to fresh communal tension in Muzaffarnagar when a woman lodged a case against a doctor and his family members alleging that she was held captive by the accused, where she was sexually assaulted, forced to change her religion and tortured, in another case, a minor girl was raped by three accused belonging to minority community just to avenge a case of another rape.
In the first case lodged wih the Meerapur police station in Muzaffarnagar, Sunita (name changed), a resident of Mohalla Dhakshini Mustark under Purkazi locality, alleged that she was kidnapped by Dr Abdul Kalam, a resident of Babma Roam in Meerapur. She claimed that the accused Kalam, not only raped her but also done unnatural sex.
Not only this, is her statement, which was also recorded before a magistrate on Tuesday, she alleged that the accused also recorded the incident and threatened to upload and defame it if she would report the matter. Besides, Kalam, she also accused his wife Kushnama, son Salman, daughters-Shara and Shabnam, along with Ali Hassan and Afzal, alleging that they all threatened and forcibly converted her to adopt their religion. local police had so far arrested the accused doctor and claimed to be making further investigation in this regard. The woman was also medically examined.
In another bizarre case, three accused alleged to have kidnapped and gang-raped a 16-year-old girl just to avenge a sexual assault case. The sensational incident was reported from Mirza Tilla jungles under Kakrauli police station in Muzaffarnagar. The brother of the above minor girl who was now gang raped, has been earlier accused of raping a girl of another community on August 25 last. Agitated with the incident which also sparked tension in the area, hundred of local villagers protested against the incident outside the Kakrauli police station on Monday after which an FIR has been lodged against the three miscreants.
Reports said that on last Sunday night, seven people barged into the house of a rape accused and dragged his 16-year-old sister out of the house. They took her along and allegedly gang-raped by three of the miscreants including the brother of the earlier rape victim. The girl was found lying unconscious on Monday. Earlier, the accused was arrested after a girl complained against him. The girl was found near Kumheda bridge where she went to commit suicide after the rape.
However, people questioned the act of the police as they took around nine hours to lodge the complaint even as the victim was kept in the police station. The three accused have been identified as Gulzar, Shahid and Guddu, who are absconding.
As per the incident, after a girl of another community went missing, an FIR was registered and the gang rape victim, her two brothers in connection with rape and attempt to murder of a girl of another community on August 26. The victim girl was detained but after the girl was recovered, she was released from the police custody where both her brothers were on run.
The gang rape victim alleged that the brother of the girl along with their two uncles and some friends kidnapped her. They later took her to the jungle and gang raped her. Police said that the matter is being investigated.
