A birthday celebration turned into a tragedy when a building collapsed in Agra, killing two revelers on the spot and leaving 15 others with serious injuries on Monday evening.

As per reports, Aniket Chaudhary's birthday party was organised at his friend Sonu Verma's house in Tajganj area and several friends and family members were invited for the function on Tuesday evening. Verma had bought the house 30 years ago and was renovating it.

While the Disc Jockey (DJ) belted out peppy numbers at high volume on the roof top and nearly 50 guests started dancing to the beats, the floor suddenly collapsed, taking down the revellers and burying them in the rubble. The loud thud soon caught the attention of the neighbours, who rushed to the scene to rescue the trapped people and also informed the police about the incident.

Later teams of police and fire department rushed to the spot and started rescue operations. During the process, the rescuers found two lifeless bodies and nearly 15 seriously injured persons.
