Two children were killed and three others were injured in an explosion in an illegal flour mill in Jhinjhana area of Shamli on Friday morning.
The negligence of the family members is said to be the reason behind the incident as they did not stop the children from playing around the flour mill.
The entire locality was numb with grief as preparations for the daughter’s wedding were going on at home in which the blast took place.
Reports said that the marriage of the daughter of one Riyasat, a resident of Mansoora village of Jhinjhana area, was due later this month so preparations were on and he had purchased new clothes for all his children. The celebrations, however, turned into tragedy as when the children were playing around the flour mill owned by Riyasat, an explosion took place in which two of his children – daughter Gulfasa and son Javed – died while three other children were injured.
The injured were admitted to a hospital.
