Twin Gsng rape case in Etawah and Eta

Published on:

Two sensational incidents of gang rape rocked the high profile districts of Etawah and Eta respectively.

In Etawah, a young woman was gang raped at gun point by half a dozen robbers who raided her house, while in Eta, armed miscreants looted Canara Bank branch in day light on Monday. Surprisingly in both cases, the victims - the family members and the branch manager kept on calling the local police and the Police Control Room but their cied for help went unheard.

Interestingly top officials of Etawah tried to save their skins by suspending a sub-inspector and a constable, accusing them of not passing on the message to seniors.

In Etawah, eight armed miscreants raided a house at Jaswantnagar (Etawah) late on Monday night. They took the inmates at gun point and later gang raped their 22-year-old daughter-in-law. The miscreants threatened to shoot all of them if anyone raised any alarm or tried to challenge them.

later the miscreants stashed ornaments, cash and other valuables and escaped. The victims called the local police and informed them of the robbery as soon as the miscreants struck but no one responded. The miscreants remained in the house for over an hour and had the cops responded to their SOS then the gang could have been nabbed.

On his part, SSP Etawah suspended a sub-inspector Amar Singh and constable Anoop Kumar, who despite getting the information did not pass on the message to senior officer and did not rush to the spot to enquire.

In Eta, over half a dozen armed miscreants barged into a Canara Bank branch on GT Road near Ram Darbar in Kotwali police station area on Monday afternoon.

They took the bank staff and customers at gun point. One of the officials identified as Mayank Kumar, claimed that he repeatedly called on Police Control Room and also the Circle Officer but no one picked up the call. He said that taking advantage of the lax policing, the robbers pushedthe hostages  into a room. The miscreants later broke open the cash chest and lockers and decamped with over Rs 30.51 lakh and 1.749 kilograms of gold.

Interestingly, the criminals even removed the hard-disc of the Close Circuit Television so that the cops could not acsertain their identity.

Meanwhile in Bijnore, Mahesh Chandra Sharma (50) a clerk in `Parmanath Maida Company’ flour mill in Noorpur area, was going on a Bolero when two bike-borne miscreants waylaid him near Khalsa Noorpur Inter College on Tuesday afternoon. The miscreants opened indiscriminate fire killing Mahesh in the process and later looted Rs 2.40 lakh kept in the jeep and escaped.
