Commenting on the family feud in the ruling party, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi said neither the 'Chacha' (Shivpal Singh Yadav) nor 'Bhateeja' (Akhilesh Yadav) would be able to save Samajwadi Party in the UP assembly elections in 2017.
"There is tussle going on between Chacha-Bhateeja and SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav says party would break if ‘bhai’ quits party. In the election none of them would be able to save the party. The people now understand the politics played in the shadow of promises,” said Owaisi while addressing a public meeting in Sultanpur District on Wednesday.
Attacking SP led government on the promises made to Dalit and Muslim communities before assembly elections 2012, he alleged that before coming into power, it was promised to provide education, electricity, 18 per cent reservation, employment and release of innocent Muslim youths implicated on false terror charges.
Urging people to support AIMIM in assembly elections 2017, he said after Babri Masjid demolition and 2002 Gujarat riots, we stopped looking towards Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) as political alternate. The same should be done with SP as due to its laxity during Muzaffarnagar riots nearly 50,000 persons become homeless.
