After two low-intensity explosions in the vicinity of Cantonment railway station in Agra, another transistor bomb blast was reported from Sultanpur on Sunday. After this, the DGP has sounded an alert across the state and appealed to the citizen not to touch any unclaimed object.
ADG (law and order) Daljeet Chaudhary said that since the two explosions in Agra, one at Sultanpur and recovery of two live bombs in lucknow, the security forces have been alerted. local cops have been asked to appeal to people not to touch any unclaimed object and instead inform the police.
Chaudhary said that directions were also issued to co-ordinate with officials of Special Task Force as well as Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of the state to take their help in cracking the case and arrest culprits involved in creating terror.
It may be mentioned that security arrangements, which are being looked by Central agencies have once again being spruced after inputs revealed that Taj Mahal was on target of terror group (IS).
The ADG had claimed on Friday that security has been enhanced in and around Taj Mahal and loxcal police and para-military forces have been deployed along with Central para-forces to avert any exigency.
