The state assembly was adjourned for about 30 minutes when the BJP members created pandemonium over lathi charge on its youth wing members during their protest outside the Vidhan Bhawan on Monday.
The House was adjourned during Zero Hour when BJP member laxmikant Bajpai raised the matter and immediately other members trooped into the Well of the House.The BJP members raised anti-government slogans and criticised the government for its anti-democratic approach. The Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey adjourned the House for 30 minutes.
Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Kalraj Mishra, who was also in the city, criticised the police lathicharge on the BJYM activists during their peaceful demonstration outside the assembly.“Such act shows the dictatorial attitude of the government and it was a violation of the Constitution which gives every one a right to protest peacefully,” he said.
