The Forest Department was unable to get any clue of the stray tiger on Tuesday which has moved a few kilometers away from its location at the Silauli village at Unnao. DFO Unnao VK Mishra while talking to “The Pioneer” said that tracking of the movements were being carried.
The DFO said that the tiger was in the same area though a few kilometers away from the original point. “We were unable to find the tiger which is a few kilometers away from its earlier position. There were no photographs that we were able to capture  because it has moved away from the area where the camera traps had been fixed. Now we will get the indication of the tiger when we find its droppings or its kill for food” he said. On being asked if the tiger was moving towards lucknow the DFO said that it was not moving towards lucknow.
On  whether it was moving towards Kanpur, the DFO said, “We cannot say whether it was moving towards Kanpur. The area in which it is moving is not a plain area rather undulating area hence it is difficult to track its movements. Efforts are on” he said. The stray tiger has been on the move since October 15 and has successfully evaded the foresters who have been on its trail.
