A teenage girl was reportedly raped, killed and later the accused tried to burn her body before dumping it in a secluded place at Pratapgarh district. The naked body of the victim was recovered on Thursday morning and was sent for autopsy report. local police is now making efforts to maintain identity of the victim so that they could move ahead with the investigation.
Reports said that someone informed the police control room on Thursday morning that naked body of girl was lying near Bakulai rover in Sansarpur hamlet of Sadar area in Pratapgarh. The cops rushed to the spot and found a naked body having no clothes lying at the given spot. The victim had injury marks of sharp edged weapons and seems to be sexually assaulted. Surprisingly, the killers also tried to burn her body probably to conceal her identity.
Reports said that the cops dispatched the body for autopsy and later during search operation of the area, they managed to recover some of her clothes which suggested that the victim was killed there. The cops later flashed a message hoping that any information regarding the missing of the above the girl has been reported at some local police station. However, they failed to get any immediate success in this regard. Further investigations are on in the matter.
