Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav targeted Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after the release of  SP MLA Tazeen Fatma from Sitapur jail on Monday.

Tazeen Fatma, who is the wife of Rampur SP MP Mohammad Azam Khan, was given bail by a court on Monday.

The Rampur police had registered 34 cases against Fatma and she was granted bail in 32 cases earlier while in two other cases she was granted bail by the court on Monday.

“The bail of Tazeen Fatma proves that those indulging in hate politics will have to face defeat and also face the truth. The path of lies that the Bharatiya Janata Party is pursuing leads to injustice and downfall. This is victory for those who believe in justice “ Akhilesh tweeted on Tuesday.

After walking out of Sitapur jail on Monday evening, Fatma said, “I have been released from jail after 12 months for which I credit the judiciary as it did justice to me.”

The SP leader added, “I did not get any special facility in jail and did not even meet my husband today before being released.”

Her husband Azam Khan and ex-SP MLA son Abdullah Azam continue to remain in Sitapur jail.

The Khans surrendered in a Rampur court on February 26 this year after being accused in numerous cases. While 90 cases were registered against Azam Khan, his name was added to 11 other cases taking the tally to over 100. The police filed chargesheet against Azam Khan in 73 cases while the rest are under investigation.
