Swati Singh, wife of the former BJP leader Daya Shanakar Singh, met the state Governor Ram naik here on Sunday and demanded the arrest of the BSP president Mayawati and Naseemuddin Siddiqui under the POSCO Act. (The protection of children from sexual offence act 2012).
Naseemuddin Siddiqui had targeted Daya Shankar Singh, his wife and daughters in filthy language. Daya Shankar Singh was sacked from the party on July 20 for making derogatory statement against the Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati.
In her memorandum submitted to the Governor, the wife of the former BJP leader said the dignity of the women was violated by the BSP leaders here on July 21, while they protested against the statement of her husband about the BSP president Mayawati. She said her minor daughter was targeted during the protest demonstration by the BSP leaders and they used filthy language against her.
She said despite the heinous crime by the BSP leaders, POSCO Act has not been invoked against them. She said an FIR against the BSP leaders including Mayawati has already been lodged by the police. She said these leaders be also booked under the provision of POSCO.
