Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has described the supplementary budget presented by the Yogi Adityanath government as less of expectations for the public and more heart-wrenching.
Along with this, Mayawati said if the UP government had reduced the price of petrol by Rs 3 like Tamil Nadu, then crores of people would have got some relief from inflation.
Soon after the supplementary budget was presented in the UP Assembly on Wednesday, Mayawati tweeted, “The supplementary budget presented in the UP Assembly today is less of hope and more heart-wrenching for the poor and working people in various troubles in the state. Had the UP government, like Tamil Nadu, reduced the price of petrol by Rs 3, crores of people would have got some relief from inflation.
Mayawati further said, “By the way, according to the way the BJP government has made indiscriminate promises and announcements, according to the lack of proper management of the budget, they will remain as paper announcements, whereas before the announcements in the BSP government, financial arrangements were necessary for it. This is the real difference between BSP and others.”
The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh presented the first supplementary budget of the financial year 2021-22 in the legislature on Wednesday.
