Uttar Pradesh Sahkari Chini Mill Sangh limited claimed to have cleared 90 percent of the dues regarding purchase of cane crop.According to BK Yadav, who is MD of the Sangh, on directions of the principal secretary of cane and sugar development, Rahul Bhatnagar, they cleared 90.34 per cent of dues of cane crop purchased during 2012-13 financial year out of which 5 mills cleared 100 percent dues.
He saidthat during the above period, Sahkari Chini Mills procured 695.19 lakh quintals of cane which amounts to Rs 192513.74 lakh. Out of the above amount, they paid Rs 173910.37 lakh till Tuesday.
BK Yadav also claimed that taking consideration of the commitment made by the state government, they will also clear the remaining due at earliest. He said that the timely payment will boost the morale of the cane growers and will also help them to win their trust which would ultimately help both in the next season.
