Irked over poor condition of Muslims in state especially after Muzaffarnagar riots, the Sunni Ulema Council (SUC) announced to teach Samajwadi Party (SP) a lesson in upcoming lok Sabha Elections 2014.
"This SP led State Government has completely failed to govern the state. Not only the condition of law and order was poor in the state but they even disappointed Muslim who brought SP in power with full majority," said National President, SUC, Maulana Intezar Ahmad Qadri at UP Press Club on Monday.
Criticizing state government on Muzaffarnagar violence, Qadri said many parts of the state witnessed communal violence leading to massive bloodshed and fear amongst the people. Now the Muslims do not feel safe after facing this much. ""Despite protecting minorities, the government has been framing fake charges on them like it did with BSP leader, Naseem ud Deen Siddiqui," he added.
lambasting Muslim leadership of SP, he said there were number of so-called Muslim leaders in the party who have been given posts and ministries for keeping their mouth shut and support the government. "Those leaders has made deal of community with the party. They did all this for their personal gains, not for the upliftment of the community," he added.
He threatened that now Muslims of state are not happy with SP led government. They will have to face the ire in upcoming lok Sabha elections. "So far we have no plans to field our own candidates but if needed at that time it could be done," he added.
General Secretary, SUC, Hafiz Noor Ahmad Raza Azhari said if we see the present scenario of state, the previous regime was much better. Then the law and order condition was better and people used to feel safe. There were number of promises made by Samajwadi party (SP) for Muslims which are yet to turn into reality.
