Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will lay the foundation stone of 1000-bed Medanta Awadh Super Specialty Hospital in the state capital that would provide world class medical treatment to the patients.
Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav will also be present at the function.
The government spokesman said in a statement issued here on Wednesday that it would be a modern super specialty hospital having over 30 operation theaters. The 1000-bed hospital would also have 300 critical care beds, he added.
“This hospital will be set up on 12 acre land. Once operational, this hospital will provide employment to 25,000 people,” the government spokesman said.
Yadav will also lay the foundation stone of a memorial being developed in the name of former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University.
The UP government has renamed UP Technical University after Dr APJ Abdul Kalam University. The university will also have a new Central university.
