Hitting out at Akhilesh Yadav Government BJP state president Keshav Prasad Maurya said that for the first time in the annals of Uttar Pradesh a person facing criminal charges and is on the run is part of UP cabinet. “What could be more shameful for Akhilesh Yadav Government that a rapist is part of the state cabinet against whom a look out notice has been issued. The police has failed to arrest him so far,” Maurya said in a statement issued here on Tuesday.
“Chief Minister says that police is doing its job. What kind of job this police is doing that it is not possible to trace a minister. Moreover, questions are being raised as why CM has not sacked the said minister from the cabinet despite a reminded from Governor Ram Naik,” Maurya said. He said that Chief Minister claims that his government has worked at the ground level. Yes, actually it has worked on the ground. It has allowed Samajwadi Party leaders and workers to grab land. This is the achievement of the Akhilesh Government and this is the kaam (work) which he boasts about,” BJP state Chief said. “BJP will restore law and order in the state. All the criminals will be sent to jail. The BJP Government will create an atmosphere where girls will go to schools and people will go to work without any fear,” he said.
