The state government issued orders for raising Nutrition Allowance of all non-gazetted police personnel by Rs 100 per month. The order also included a hike of 25 percent in the present family accommodation allowance of both civil police as well as Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) staying in barracks. The hike will come into effect from the date of issue of Government Order (GO).
As per an official communiqué, the government issued a GO to fulfill announcement made by Akhilesh Yadav on the occasion of `Police Commemoration Day’ on October 21.
Besides, the government will also provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to parents of police martyrs in addition to Rs 20-lakh compensation being to the widow and family members of the martyrs.
