Aiming to evaluate the impact of implementation of government schemes, the Yogi government deputed senior IAS officers as in-charge of districts. These officers will visit respective districts to assess whether the benefit of government schemes were percolating down to the village level or not.
A Government spokesman said that these officials will stay in allotted districts for two days and evaluate the implementation of all government schemes. They will be expected to submit their reports to the Government by 21st of every month.
This order comes after directives from BJP president Amit Shah, who had asked party leaders to keep an eye on activities of the ministers.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had earlier appointed ministers as in-charge of districts and asked them to tour and inspect implementation of government schemes there.
“At the administration level, officials have been asked to monitor implementation of government projects. This is being done to ensure that the delivery system works as a well-oiled machine,” a spokesman said.
