State Congress took out ‘ Sadbhav Badhao, Abhav mitao’ padyatra to conclude over month long protest both against the Central and State governments, here on Thursday. The processions were taken out in over dozen important districts as a part of celebration of Party president Sonia Gandhi’s birthday.
On Thursday, senior leaders which included State president, Nirmal Khatri, AICC general secretary Madhusudan Mistri, state legislature party leader Pradeep Mathur, Rajya Sabha members P l Punia, Sanjay Singh, Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Raj Babbar, and several other leaders, gathered at Mankameshwari Temple in Daliganj to start the procession.
later passing through old city areas, the procession concluded at Iddgah in Aishbagh. The leaders also addressed the gathering during which they raised the issued like Centre’s failure on foreign police, inflation and corruption while in the state matter, the dues of the cane farmers, deteriorating law and order situation were highlighted.
