State cong completely blames SP Govt for Mathura violence

State Congress has held the Akhilesh Yadav government fully responsible for the Mathura violence and demanded resignation.

UP Congress vice president and chairman of the communication department Satyadeo Tripathi in a statement released here on Saturday afternoon said that the lawyer Vijay Pal Tomar , who went to the high Court against the illegal encroachment of the Jawahar Bagh has alleged that the state government had prepared papers to hand over the land to the so called satyagrahis at Re one per acre of land for 99-years lease.

The court had ordered the evacuation one year back but the state government was ready to give 170 acres of land to them virtually free of cost.

Tripathi further said that the then a DM of Mathura also forced the electricity department to reconnect an illegal connection of the Jawahar Bagh. The government should resign and a probe should be ordered by a sitting judge of the high court, Tripathi demanded.

He said that it is unfortunate that a senior minister who was number two in Akhilesh’s cabinet had given all patronage to the criminals as Jawahar Bagh was the place where arms training were given and arms were stored. He also demanded that a probe should be ordered on all land grabbing cases in UP.
