Enough spadework had been done for the success of "Vijay Shankhnaad" rally of Narendra Modi which was being held at the Buddha Park, Indra Nagar. The focus of the BJP Kanpur unit was to ensure the assembly of at least 2 lakh people which will send across the message that Modi's wave have emerged  and was about to inundate  the nation. The ground had been cordoned by special security forces and elaborate security arrangements were being made to ensrue that there was no untoward incident at the rally ground. The row over the helipad continued even on Thursday and the decision had yet not been taken. The entire BJP unit of Kanpur was burning the midnight oil to ensure that this hi-tech rally was a thumping success.

The special security forces which had arrived from Gujarat along with the Kanpur Range DIG, Mr RK Chaturvedi were holding frequent meetings to not only ensure fool-proof security but also to ensure that the chopper of Modi landed exactly at the venue. However, the pylons and the high tension wires were a major threat to the safe landing of the chopper and thus even on Thursday evening the district authorities had not been able to finalise where the helicopter should land. The massive structure resembling a temple had been erected at the Buddha Park from where Modi will deliver his " Vijay Shankhnad Rally". The rally area had been heavily barricaded and entry was allowed only through special entry points where metal detectors and heavy posse of policemen will be stationed. Modi was expected to arrive at the venue around 2.00 pm and will address the rally around 3.00 pm. The prominent persons who will accompany him will be Mr Raj Nath Singh, Mr Kalyan Singh, Mr Amit Shah, Mr Swatantra Dev Singh, Mr laxmikant Bajpai. For the first time this rally will be hi-tech and for this a special media centre had been set up which will cover the rally and it would be telecast live. The official spokesperson for the state BJP Intellectual Cell, Dr Manoj Mishra on Thursday informed that the online coverage will be elaborate and continuous and said the every detail of the rally can be availed off from the special media centre to be set up there. According to  Dr Diwakar Mishra the security will be fool proof  and there shall be five security rings where the innermost security ring will be manned by the special security force which had come from Gujarat. He said special CCTV cameras have been set up all over the venue from the stage to the end point of the rally. The BJP special team had been set up to ensure they manage the traffic to the rally site so that there was no bottleneck created. They have also made special parking slots for the vehicles which will be coming from all the adjoining districts. The venue has been decorated aesthetically with special illumination which focuses on the " Bhagwa" (saffron) colour. Narendra Modi was being projected as "yugpurush". Modi's  entry to the stage was being kept secret and has not been disclosesd. The list of the people to share the stage has yet not been finalised however it was being expected that top Central leaders will share the stage while the remaining local leaders will be accommodated at a different stage. Special stalls have been set up around the entrances at the venue where CDs and Modi's hype material will be sold and distributed by the IT cell working under Dr Manoj Mishra.

He said the cell had been assigned the task to rope in intellectuals to the rally so that they can hear the views of  Modi. He said there shall be a big participation from the IIT-K and other varsities of the city. He said the special cell had been set up which will continue its door to door campaign with the professionals like professors, teachers, doctors, lawyers, chartered accountants.  He said in addition to this the special emphasis had been laid on bringing the youth to the venue. He said the target was to draw the 18-35 age group to the rally site. He said all the other frontal organisations have already been assigned the task and the BJP Yuva Morcha and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad had claimed to alone bring 1 lakh youth to the rally site.

The Minority Cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party was making concerted efforts to ensure they brought large number of Muslims to the venue to show that Modi was accepted even by the Muslims. Women in `burkha' and men in Muslim traditional caps will be there to prove that Modi was acceptable even to the Muslims as they had realised that Modi's focus was on development not " other issues". The Mahila Morcha was carrying out mass contact programmes at evey home all over the city and suburbs and making appeal to the women to ensure they assembled at the Modi's rally venue. They were distributing rice and turmeric and advising women to reach the venue as if  Modi's becomes the PM he would curb inflation and thus the housewives and working women need to participate to hear and understand his philosophy. Rallies were continuously being taken out  all over the city while trading community has moving on the "Vijay Shankhnad Rath" appealing to the trading class to ensure they reach the venue in large number for the success of the rally.
