Speaker of  the State Assembly, Mata Prasad Pandey terminated services of the Official on Special Duty (OSD) and suspended his Personal Assistant (PA) on Sunday after their names cropped during probe of an alleged recruitment scandal registered with the Hazratganj police station earlier this week. Interestingly the matter was two years old of March 2011 but the cops now took cognizance after which action was initiated against both the officials of the Assembly.

According to Principal Secretary (Vidhan Sabha) Pradeep Kumar Dubey,  the circle officer of Hazratganj, Dinesh Yadav appraised the Speaker of the Assembly, Mata Prasad Pandey that a case was registered with the Hazratganj police station on last Thursday under Section 406/419/420/467/468/471/506 IPC for forgery, cheating and duping innocent youths in the name of providing themgovernment job.

The case was registered by one Umesh Kumar Singh in which he alleged that a job racket was run by Mansha Ram Upadhaya and Sudhir Yadav and that two were facilitated by his (Speaker) OSD R C Mishra and his PA, J K Dwivedi. Dubey claimed that taking serious cognizance of the matter, Mata Pradesh terminated the services of Mishra and removed him while he placed Dwivedi under suspension and ordered a high level probe in the matter. He further said that the Speaker also directed the circle officer of Hazratganj to enquire the matter and  send him the status report within a fortnight.
