The workers of Samajwadi Party inaugurated the Pipraghat bridge near Dilkusha saying the said bridge was constructed during Samajwadi Party’s regime and the present government had stopped the funds for the said bridge.
Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra Chowdhry said that on Thursday people forcefully inaugurated the Pipraghat bridge as its inauguration was pending for some time. The present government had stopped funds though the construction was almost over, Chowdhry said in written statement here on Thursday.
He said with the inauguration of this bridge this will help local people and the commutation time.
“The present BJP government is envious of the achievements of the Akhilesh Yadav and therefore is either stalling the projects of previous government or re-inaugurating the projects claiming them to be their government’s achievements,” he said.
This is not the first time the Samajwadi Party workers had inaugurated projects before its official inauguration claiming them to be the achievements of previous governments. They did it in Noida and Rae Bareli and also objected to the foundation laying of Purvanchal Expressway claiming that the foundation of the same had been laid in 2016.
The SP leaders have also objected to inauguration of Agra-lucknow Expressway and Metro Rail by the BJP government.
