Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that present trend shows that no one can stop Third Front from coming to power as Samajwadi Party is sweeping the lok Sabha election in Uttar Pradesh this time.
Addressing an election rally along with party MP and cine star Jaya Bachchan in Kannauj in favour of his wife Dimple Yadav he said that elections in first two phases have indicated that people have accepted pro-poor and pro-farmer policies of the Samajwadi Party Government and therefore have voted in favour of party candidates. “Otherwise how can one prove such a high polling percentage,” he asked. “People came out in large number to vote for SP because of Samajwadi policies. The results will prove that people have liked our policies,” he said.
He said that BJP leaders are very cunning. They have spread a canard about the development model of Gujarat whereas the fact is there is no model as such. The development in Gujarat is just a media hype. People are still dieing of hunger and lack of healthcare facilities available there, he said. In her address Jaya Bachchan said that Samajwadi Party has good policies in favour of poor, youth, farmers and members of minority community. “We have to strengthen the hands of Neta ji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) so that the state can march to the path of progress,” she said.
