Extending an olive branch to the striking employees the Samajwadi Party has urged them to withdraw their agitation and start dialogue with the Government as Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav Government was pro-people and pro-employee.
"The employees should realise that their strike was creating hurdles in development process. Government is losing valuable man-days which is neither good for the state nor the people," Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhry said in a written statement here on Sunday.
He said that the Government was willing to start dialogue. Earlier also many rounds of talks had taken place with employee leaders. This exercise should continue. If employees are facing some problem it should be resolved only through dialogues noty through agitation," Chaudhry, who is also Jail Minister in Akhilesh Yadav Government said.
The striking employees have declared that they will now only hold dialogue with either Chief Minister or Chief Secretary Jawed Usmani. Chaudhry said that previous Government had left the state bleeding. The onus is now on Samajwadi party not only to generate resources but also to distribute the same among the people equally. "It may take some time and employees should be patient and have faith on the Government," he said.
