SP to implement centre sponsored mission for the upliftment of youth from downtrodden section

Samjawadi Party government decided to implement Centre’s Rastriya Saheri Aajiwka Mission (NUlM) to facilitate youths of down-trodden section to have a livelihood of their own. The cabinet chaired by chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said they would forward the benefit of Centre’s above policy first to urban poor along with those who completed court under Governments Skill Development policy.  In another major decision, he cleared to go ahead with signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), for formation of cluster of Rural Sector Food and Fruit Processing Units.

Empowering special secretary, of small, minor and medium industries department for signing the MoU, government gave task to implement such cluster to Ms Smile Parks Industries limited. This company would facilitate one common integrated facility centre having power backup, power housing, cold storage, tool-room quality lab, packaging and printing, marketing, administration, accounts facilities etc. The above company already inaugurated one cluster at Ram Snehi ghat at Barabanki.

For timely implementation of Metro Rail, cabinet cleared mutual consent approach to acquire land for the purpose. A committee under district magistrate of lucknow has been formed for the purpose. To facilitate working capital to big industries during the starting years, government also made necessary amendments in Industrial Investment Promotion Rules (Fifth Amendment)-2014. Besides, government also cleared proposals of sub-committee of the State Cabinet regarding providing facilities to Mega Industrial Units pumping in more than Rs 100 crore in the State.

Government also decided to re-constitute Waqf Judicial Authority. Till the above Authority would take shape, government will re-constitute Waqf Authority working at district level.  Besides the government also cleared execution and implementation of Rural Sector Pipe Drinking Water Policy in the State.

While waiving of entire tax on cotton mattresses, cotton quilt, cotton pillow etc to facilitate Khadi in the State, government also reduced VAT duty on saw and gadgests used by mason to just 4 per cent. For the service class husband and wife, government would not give general house allowance of what house rent allowance they were getting at present. Cabinet on Wednesday also decided to float fresh tender for implementing High Security Registration Plate scheme in the State. To give `Namoshudra, Pondra, Pond (migrated Bengalis) community SC category, government would forward their recommendations very soon. 

Government gave rebate to disabled persons on stamp duty during purchase or lease of any property while it imposed stamp duty while making Nazul land free-hold. Besides, step have been taken to over come the anomalies regarding stamp duty taken on allotment of any government or semi-government organizations. Cabinet also forwarded facilities of carrying away all the belongings after retirement which are provided to them at their offices or residences. These belongings will be given after collecting it’s depreciation value. Cabinet also cleared UP Public Service Commission (Authority) (Amendment) Act 2015. 

Government also cleared a budget of Rs 363.89 crore for construction of Academic Block in Dr Ram Manohar lohia Institute of Medical Sciences. To facilitate singers, government also decided t o give `Begum Akhtar’ award in the Dadra, Thumri and Gazal singing. In another major decision regarding Solar Energy Policy-2013, under Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Authority 

(UPNEDA), government cleared policy which is to be adopted in Compitative Tariff Best Bidding  for plant having 300 megawatt capacity. In another decision, government cleared for demolition of old dilapidated collectrate/thesil buildings so new buildings could be built. In also allowed demolition of 38-years-old badminton hall at Amitabh Bachchan Sports Complex in Allahabad so that new hall could be constructed. 

Government would also facilitate help to get non licensed District Co-operative banks to procure licenses. Besides, cabinet cleared for formation of industrial areas of Amuasi (lucknow), Ramnagar (Varanasi), and Surajpur (Noida) as New and Show-Case Industrial Model. Government would also re-engaged 100 retired Block Development Officers. It also cleared amendments in UP Food and Drug Authority (Food Secuity Cadre), in connection with Service Rules 2012 for (grade A, B and C category employees. For irregularities, than assistant commissioner of trade tax in Jhansi, Asheesh Niranjan, had been placed under suspension and his salary hike has been restricted for one year. He was also given miss-conduct in his service book.
