Eyeing 2017 Assembly polls, the ruling Samajwadi Party will start cycle rallies across Uttar Pradesh from Wednesday to apprise people of the achievements of the state government.
The rally, which will start from the rural areas will ulminate on August 12 at the district headquarters, Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhry said in a statement issued here on Tuesday.
He said in eastern UP, the yatra would be personally monitored and supervised by senior leaders and ministers.
“If the achievements of the Akhilesh Yadav government reach the masses and the actual beneficiaries, no one can stop SP from coming back to power, “ he said and added that the party will also organise assembly segment wise rallies and conferences between August 20 to September 10 to propagate the achievements of the state government.
In a bid to establish an emotional connect with the people of the state, the party is also planning to record the achievements of the state government in Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s voice and send them across to at least one crore voters.
Chaudhury said that 95 per cent of the farmers who have purchased solar pumps (on government subsidy), are satisfied with our schemes.
“Some of the schemes of state government are so good, that people have even forgotten the schemes run by the Centre,” he said.
