Initiating action against erring legislators Samajwadi Party state president and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav suspended three party MlAs for anti-party activities.
The MlA who have faced the axe are: Mahendra Kumar Singh alias Jhin Babu, elected from Sevta in Sitapur, Radheshyam Jaiswal, MlA from Sitapur and Ram lal Akela from Bachrawa in Rae Bareli.
While Jhin Babu was suspended when he was caught with call girls in Goa, the other two were punished for the misdeeds of their sons. Earlier, the party had issued a show cause notice to Jhin Babu asking him to explain his involvement in Goa incident.
Radheshyam Jaiswal's son Shailendra, who was earlier expelled from the party, had opened fire on the people on National Highway 24 in Sitapur over land dispute in which one person was injured.
Similarly, MlA Ram lal Akela's son Vikrant, who is also the president of the Rae Bareli district lohia Vahini, was expelled by the party. Vikrant along with his two brothers had razed a house of Additional CMO of Rae Bareli Dr Nasir Ahmed.
Meanwhile, the mis-deeds of ruling party legislators has given the opposition parties a hammer to beat the Government as BJP said the ruling party has betrayed the faith of the people.
''The act of the sons of the SP MlAs in Rae Bareli and Sitapur and arrest of another SP MlA in Goa along with the bar girls shows that they are earning bad name for the state,'' BJP spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak said.He said it seems CM has no control over party MlAs and ministers.
