Ratan Singh Yadav, elder brother of Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav died here late Saturday night following a prolonged illness. He was 80. According to party sources, Yadav breathed his last at the PGI hospital in Saifai at around 0100 hrs.
The entire Yadav family including Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Mulayam Singh Yadav and his brothers Shivpal Singh Yadav and Ram Gopal Yadav rushed to Saifai to attend the last rites. Following this bereavement in the family Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had cancelled his Sunday’s rally in Kanpur.
