SP slams BJP for communal hatred

The ruling Samajwadi Party reiterated its charge against the BJP that it was out to vitiate the atmosphere in the state by stoking communal hatred ahead of the 2017 Assembly polls.

The party alleged that the BJP has demonstrated that it had no faith in social harmony by declaring that it will make the migration of Hindus from Kairana a poll issue.

Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra Choudhary said on Saturday that the tone and tenor of speeches of BJP president Amit Shah in rallies provide ample evidence that hus party would do its best to foment communal discord in UP ahead of the polls.

"By declaring that Kairana will be a poll plank, the BJP has proved that destroying the secular social fabric was its objective. But the SP would allow the BJP to translate its sinister designs in UP," said Chaudhary.

Rebutting the charge of goonda raj in UP, the SP leader said, "Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder and what happened in Gujarat in 2002, would never be erased from the memory of the nation.’’

Alleging that the BJP was controlled by a non -democratic organisation like RSS, Choudhary said,

"Its ironical that such forces have the freedom to malign democratic organisations like SP by continuously levelling false charges.’’

"The canards spread by the BJP against CM Akhilesh Yadav and the SP would never fructify as the state government has ensured that benefit of the welfare schemes reached the beneficiary," said Chaudhary
