Coming to the rescue of Mulayam Singh Yadav, state unit of Samajwadi Party said that allegations leveled against its national president were false, malicious and were politically motivated.
“Some officials have developed political inclination and are busy in giving statements against the government in social media. Their act is against the service conduct rule. Such officials should be penalized,” SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhry said in a statement issued here on Sunday.
He said that such officials are playing in the hands of opposition parties and show their penchant to criticize government schemes. “If these officials are so interested in politics, their should shed their Khaki and don khadi. Being in administrative job a person doing politics is not acceptable,” Chaudhry, who is also cabinet ran minister in Samajwadi party government said.
It is the first time Samajwadi Party came in the defense of Mulayam Singh Yadav against whom a senior IPS officer has filed complaint of intimidation. The said officer claims that Mulayam Singh Yadav has threatened him because he and his wife have filed case against Mining Minister Gyatri Prajapati.
SP spokesman said that Mulayam Singh Yadav is a senior leader who is in politics for last six decades. He has been Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Defence Minister of the country. “Never ever an allegation has been leveled against him. Even his political rivals respect him. Now an official leveling charges against him is nothing but hilarious,” he said.
