SP played drama to hide tainted state Govt: Maurya

Alleging that SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, his brother Shivpal Yadav and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav enacted a well-orchestrated drama to counter anti-incumbency and confuse the people of the state, state BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya said that such drama could not wash away the ‘tainted’ image of the present government.

‘’Father, son and uncle played their roles as per the script to confuse people. But will they be able to come clean from the charges of communal riots, Jawaharbagh incident and deteriorating law and order in the state during Akhilesh’s tenureIJ” querried Maurya.

In a statement issue in lucknow on Wednesday, Maurya said, “Every day, 24 rapes, 21 attempt to rapes, 13 murders, 33 kidnappings and 136 robberies were being reported in the state. These figures shows how competent the CM’s administration is.”

‘’Will the drama enacted by the SP family make the people forget the failures ofthe government and their problems,” the BJP leader questioned.

Maurya also said that both the SP and Congress will have to answer on while they are planning to go for an alliance for the polls, why did they attack each other politically during the last four months. ‘’Was it a drama by both parties to fool the common people of the state IJ” he asked.

“Why did Akhilesh have to go for an alliance after ruling the state for five years with full majority IJ Does he not have confidence to face the people IJ Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi should also answer as to why did he start his state-wide Yatras on the slogan of ‘27 saal, UP behal’ and now joining hands with a party which has failed to deliver,” he said.

Maurya alleged that when dynasty politics was being rejected by the people and the phenomenon was nearing an end, now three Yuvrajs — Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and Jayant Singh (RlD) — have joined hands to save their families.

“In 2014 lok Sabha poll, the BJP won in 337 Assembly segments by winning 73 seats of the total 80. The same result will be replicated in the 2017 Assembly polls too,” Maurya stressed.
