SP leaders talk about criminals, goonda raj: Swatantra Dev

Hitting out at the Samajwadi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party state president Swatantra Dev Singh said that the SP leaders talked about criminals and goonda raj while the BJP talked about development and uplift of the poorest of the poor.

"We talk about people they talk about guns. Their target is the welfare of mafias, our target is the welfare of the poor. The resolution of SP rule was the rise of goons, but our only goal is the rise of the last man," Singh said while talking to reporters here on Saturday.

He further said, “Today, I was listening to Akhilesh Yadav. He has guilt in his words. He always carries a list of land mafias, goons and criminals.

He said on the other hand, the BJP was committed to the welfare of the poor, backwards, underprivileged, Dalits, farmers, women and youth.

Comparing the work done by BJP and SP governments, Singh said that the BJP government paid the sugarcane farmers their dues while they (SP) insulted the farmers. “They burdened sugarcane farmers with thousands of crores rupees loans while the BJP government repaid their loans as well as paid Rs 1.5 lakh crore of their dues,” he said.

Attacking the SP leadership, the BJP state president said that they made the farmers wait for electricity and denied them the power connection for tube wells, looted the land through goons, and stopped the progress of the farmers.

"But we closed the loot completely, made the farmers happy, and opened the door for their prosperity," Singh said.

He said that from 2012 to 2017, the then government promoted criminalisation while from 2017 to 2022 there was a government that promoted transparency and good governance, in which many schemes for the welfare of poor were operated.

"In the BJP regime, people received Ayushman Kavach without corruption, ration, houses, jobs, pension, subsidy, Kisan Samman Nidhi, Ujjwala gas connection, free electricity connection and health protection,” he said and added that from panchayat to Parliament, the faith of the people in the BJP remained intact.
