The silver jubilee foundation day programme of the Samajwadi party has laid the foundation of the alliance of the ruling party with the parties of the Janata parivaar.
The leaders of the Janata parivar in one voice asked the SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav to take the initiate for the alliance in UP.
The focus of attack of the Janata parivar leaders was Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They all expressed their firm resolve to not only stop the BJP from coming to power in UP in 2017 but also defeat the party in 2019 lok Sabha elections.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, owing to the feud in the family was earlier opposed to the idea of alliance with other parties has now softened his stand on this issue. Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday separately met the RJD chief lalu Yadav, JD (U) leader Sharad Yadav, RlD chief Ajit Singh and former Prime Minister HD Devewgowda, president of the JD(S).
Chief Minister also had a separate meeting with the poll strategist of the Congress Prashant Kishore, who was staying in the same hotel where the leaders of the Janata parivar had checked in on Friday. Akhilesh Yadav met the leaders for about 50 minutes and refused to share the details of meeting with the media.
Akhilesh Yadav however said `` we are looking for the long term alliance with the like minded parties for the 2019 lok Sabha election not for merely only election of 2017 UP assembly elections’’.
RJD president lalu Yadav said `` BJP has to be stopped from coming to power in UP as we unitedly defeated this party in Bihar. We all are united and let their be no confusion that there is feud in the Samajwadi party. Mulayam Singh Yadav knows every leader and now it is his responsibility to bring all the parties of the Janata parivar on one platform and talks for seat sharing and other formalities for alliance should began without any further delay’’.
Expressing similar sentiments Rashtriya lok Dal president Ajit Singh said that ``it’s the responsibility of Mulayam Singh Yadav to take the imitative. It’s not the question of UP assembly election alone, whole country is at stake as BJP has to be stopped from coming to power in UP in 2017 and also to be defeated in 2019 lok Sabha elections’’.
"The 2017 UP assembly election will not only decide the next government in the state it will also decide the destiny of the country and we must for forging a grand alliance for the 2019 lok Sabha elections’’. Said Ajit Singh.
Earlier in the day talking to the media JD (U) leader Sharad Yadav said ``Samajwadi Party has to decide every thing. They have to decide as to how they intend to fight the next UP assembly election. Samajwadi party is a big party and only Mulayam Singh Yadav will take a final call on this issue’’.
later addressing the silver jubilee programme JD(U) leader said `` Akhilesh Yadav has a historic responsibility to shoulder as the 2017 election will not decide the next government in UP, it will also set the agenda for the 2019 lok Sabha elections’.
`The youth of UP has always created history. Yet another opportunity is waiting for you. Akhilesh celebrated three diwalis one on October 30, next on November 3 and the third one today. The farmers , youth and muslims want that the 2017 UP assembly election should send a clear signal that the BJP had won the 2014 lok Sabha elections on false promises’, said Sharad Yadav adding `` the socialists of the country are united behind the Samajwadi Party.
