Almost a week after Samajwadi Party national president Mulayam Singh Yadav had threatened to take action against indisciplined workers, the party leadership issued show cause notice to senior party leaders including former candidate from Jaunpur K.P. Yadav for his conduct that brought disrepute to the party.
Party’s spokesman Rajendra Chaudhry said in a statement issued here on Friday that party leadership has issued show cause notice to K.P. Yadav and President Uttar Pradesh Education Research Council Dr Surabhi Shukla of Sultanpur for their anti-party activities.
Yadav was earlier named as party’s candidate from Jaunpur but around a month back he was replaced by Dairy Development Minister Paras Nath Yadav. Angered by this decision, K.P. Yadav along with his supporters, staged anti-party protests in Jaunpur parliamenray constituency. K.P. Yadav’s son lucky Yadav even fought a pitched battle with the supporters of Paras Nath Yadav. The issue made headlines prompting Mulayam Singh Yadav to advise his party men to avoid hooliganism.
Chaudhry said that through a notice K.P. Yadav has been asked why he should not be removed from the parliamentary membership of the party for his conduct. "
Similarly, party has received complaints about Dr Shukla and her supporters beating up members of the Nagarpalika Parishad and she has also been asked to explain reason of her public conduct that has brought bad name to the party and the government," Chaudhry said.
